Tell us about what you do at Giglets

I am the Regional Account Manager for London & Southeast England. I am responsible for developing and growing business throughout the area, developing relationships and raising the Giglets profile with multi-academy trusts, local authorities, clusters, and groups of schools.

 

How did you find yourself working for an EdTech company?

I have worked in sales and account management throughout my career for some large blue-chip organisations, such as Nestlé UK, British Airways and Sara Lee. More recently I have taught at both secondary and primary Level (I was a Business and ICT Teacher). This combination of sales & marketing experience, plus being a qualified teacher makes a good fit for a career in EdTech. I also enjoy providing excellent customer service and building a network of satisfied customers.

 

What are you most proud of since joining Giglets?

I am most proud of developing Giglets customer schools and contacts within the Southeast of England, where Giglets had little or no presence before I arrived. Essentially every call was a cold call!

 

If you weren’t at Giglets, what would you be doing?

I would be teaching as I love the interaction with children, and watching them grow in confidence, and the ‘light-bulb’ moment when they get what we are learning through hard-work and perseverance (and having a dedicated and passionate teacher!)
