From Giglets Education to ILT Education: Discover Our Exciting New Brand Identity
March 17, 2025 | 1d | Press Releases
When Giglets Education joined ILT Education in 2022, it operated with a single product, Giglets. A comprehensive literacy resource for schools, Giglets offers a dynamic online library designed to engage learners, support educators, and foster a love of reading. Featuring a variety of digital tools, Giglets provides a tailored reading experience for all pupils, including those with additional needs. With over 2,000 texts available in over 40 languages, Giglets is a valuable resource for EAL learners, and encourages collaboration between schools and families.
Since 2022, Giglets Education has expanded its portfolio to include Polylino, a multilingual picture book service for children in early years settings. More recently, Nessy Learning, recognised globally as a leading provider of structured literacy tools, has also joined the ILT Education family in the UK. Their flagship product, Nessy Reading and Spelling, has supported millions of learners with dyslexia worldwide, and now also offers tools to support writing, touch typing, and maths and dyscalculia. Along with Giglets, both Polylino and Nessy are passionate about ILT Education’s mission: ensuring every learner has the right to an equal education.
A Unified Vision Under ILT Education
Operating as the UK division of ILT Education, the company will continue to trade independently, while leveraging the strength and expertise of its parent organisation. With a focus on empowering multilingual learners, those with additional support needs, and those most vulnerable in our society, ILT Education strives to become the market leader within the K-12 EdTech sector for digital learning solutions for the UK and beyond.“As we expand with more products into new geographies, we always strive to unite these products under the ILT Education umbrella. This is especially so when our teams across the different acquired companies begin working more closely together. Importantly, our customers and users will still see, recognise and engage with our very strong product brands in Giglets, Polylino and Nessy, that remain at the forefront and that we'll continue to build and drive awareness in."
Jakob Skogholm, CEO of ILT Education.
Craig Johnstone, who has been instrumental in driving Giglets Education’s success as CEO and Founder, will take on the role of Managing Director for ILT Education in the UK and as part of the ILT Education Global Leadership Team. Under his leadership, the team will focus on delivering and promoting all three products - Giglets, Polylino, and Nessy - to the UK market, and ensuring educators and learners continue to receive outstanding support and resources.
“Rebranding Giglets Education as ILT Education represents an important milestone in our company's journey. It reflects our enhanced UK footprint, our connection with the ILT Education global family and the increasing importance of providing a suite of integrated EdTech products and services to our customers.
This transition will provide the platform for our continued growth within schools, MATS and Local Authorities whilst supporting new businesses, products and services joining the ILT Education family in the UK and beyond.
By uniting our products under the ILT Education brand we're reinforcing our drive to deliver educational impact, equity and trust. Our mission remains a constant: ensuring every learner has the right to an equal education.”
Craig Johnstone, Managing Director of ILT Education.
ILT Education is well-positioned to meet the challenges of the UK educational landscape and will continue making a positive impact in classrooms and homes alike.
